My name is Ebert Terblanche. I am a business professional, and I am looking for a company to run.
Over the past decade, I have worked as a manager and a leader in a Big 4 accounting firm and a major bank. During this time, I focused on project management and the design and launch of new services.
I am originally from South Africa where I was raised on a family farm. I also built my accounting practice serving family businesses in rural areas. I learned about resilience in the face of adversity and became steeped in the values of integrity, openness, and tenacity.
These values form the cornerstone of Resilient Search Partners, which is supported by a select group of investors.
What I am looking for
I am interested in a variety of Australian industries and companies.
If you are thinking about selling your business, I would love to hear from you if it meets most of the following criteria:
- Your annual net profit is above $1.5 million.
- 60% or more of your revenue is recurring.
- Less than 20% of your revenue is from the same customer.
- Your net profit margin before interest, taxes, and depreciation is more than 15%.
My experience
Having decided on a business career, I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in South Africa where I had the opportunity to work with banks, insurance brokers, credit bureaus, mines, niche manufacturers, and waste managers.
Moving to Australia, my focus shifted to business process improvement, first as a Big 4 consultant and later in a corporate role in a large bank.
My interest in entrepreneurship led me to complete an MBA at the University of Sydney. Considering the time ripe to focus on operating and building a business, I founded Resilient Search Partners to facilitate the process.
